hello folks greetings and salutations... With the new year comes a new blog... Again it's to share my thoughts feelings and cases that I am about to do... I also wanted to give some advice to some people that have asked me some questions..

Okay first off I have to say thank you to my team members of mentor Ohio paranormal research Society... They have done an awesome job collecting evidence and data...

Second I need to acknowledge Jason Lee from the mentor patch for also doing a outstanding job..

and third I need to acknowledge that my good friend James and his wife Mariah are having a baby sometime today or tomorrow so if I don't get a chance to congratulate them as little Noah is born congratulations guys and Mariah you're going to be an amazing mother..

Okay let's start the blog shall we?
during the winter months I don't normally get a lot of requests for paranormal study...But This Month Alone I have gotten alot...a lot more than I normally would... So the question is why?

And the answer is not very simple it's actually very complex this time of year most are spending more time indoors then out... Seems like everybody hibernates when the winter comes and this could be the very reason why paranormal activity increases.

People are in their house they noticed more more things going on and all the while attribute it to the house itself. The floorboards that Creek. The lights to flicker. And they think that this is normal for the house until one morning or one day that normal turns paranormal

You have to understand their state of mind if you've read my last blog you understand that they can see and they know you're there and when you don't pay attention to Them desperation takes over.. So they do whatever they think they have to.. to get your attention..

This is where me and my team come in, we make contact, we establish what's in your home, we document, collect data and present an argument.. The argument being what exactly is in your home?

The other part of the blog that I wanted to talk about was how do you communicate with them. In your home?

though it's not easy it can be done EVP is truly an amazing field to study. For those of you who do not know EVP stands for it stands for electronic voice phenomenon.. To put in a relative simple terms we record audio in your home record it for 6 to 10 hours worth of time and then we listen to see if we can spot anything that's odd or unusual.. Then when you hear a voice and you know no one was there at the time this is what we categorize as EVP.. There are different classes of EVP's ranging from class A to class G ..class a EVP's are the best of the best you can clearly hear what is being said with little or no interference with the equipment we use to boost, amplify, or modify the recording.class G EVP is where we have to literally spend hours on end listening to that particular voice and try to understand it using the equipment by boosting its audio.. filtering the layers of the audio equipment most class G EVP's are barely voices.. But we still have to acknowledge that it is an EVP.. The dead have an amazing ability to show their true colors when desperation takes over the situation.. And I am thankful for every moment that I am alive and breathing.. But I also know it's just a matter of time before I leave this place... Till then I have dedicated my life the remainder of it to understanding this phenomenon until it is solved by science and the scientific community..my one friend who is been in paranormal research since the year 2002 explain to me why he decided to go into research.. Any answer was very simple what if you had a moment that you could talk to someone you love?.. What price would you pay?.. Would you be willing to sacrifice something in return just to say hello?.. Or maybe not even hello maybe telling a friend or loved one I love you one last time..this is why I am in this.. Why I have dedicated my life to the study of paranormal research.. It is for your benefit..it is for my benefit..to be able to talk to someone who is made it on the other side.. I hope that one day when I leave this place someone will study me and asked the question who are you and I respond.. I hope it's one of my children continues this tradition.. The study of paranormal research.. And I hope that when technology catches up we are able to document more than what we are currently able to do.. Until that time I will keep fighting for our future.. Our past.. And the history that we every day lose..

okay now onto some of the questions that I was asked..

Question one.. Can a person become possessed from the spirit?

Answer. Yes one can be possessed by a spirit.. But this is extremely rare 1% of cases Have a some form of possession... so if a researcher does 10,000 cases.. one case has possession..and spirits only possess people out of desperation.. they want to talk to living so badly they're willing to enter that person's body just to say a few simple words.. So the question is how can you combat this?.. Well there are a few things you can do.. Contact your faith your faith can be your greatest weapon.. If you are strong in faith the spirit recognizes that and will not attempt to do anything to harm you...but understand they can only stay in the body for a certain amount of time after that time is up it's over..in your body returns to normal resulting in you.. Returning to normal.

Question two.. What is the best piece of equipment to make contact?

Answer. By far it's the digital recorders.. I myself use a Olympus 4100 PC model
it is probably the best recorder on the market today in my opinion.. If you don't have it and you want to start a group your best bet is to get a 4100 model or a Olympus 5200 which is also quite good..EVP is truly amazing and the equipment can tell you so much about whatever may be going on..

Question three.
When you started what was the best advice that you got from anyone?

The best advice I ever got.. Was actually from a GAC member... Ghost adventure crew... Nick contact me via MySpace.. And gave me the best advice ever when you think you've got nothing... continue don't give up..never give up.. When you do they can not contact you have to want to contact them for them to talk to you... That was probably the best advice I ever got into this day I still will not give up and I'm thankful for Nick's advice it really has made it huge difference..

Hello all welcome to my blog on the new site ...since this is my first blog ever i really wanted to talk about me,my life,and the future i see

This first blog is going to be two parts , two different subjects if you will...

My name is Dale Vokurka founder of M.O.P.R.S. (Mentor Ohio Paranormal Research Society)

I grew up in mentor , like most of the kids in mentor high a tried to find my way in school and ended up being left out of many things ,my life to this point has been a amazing adventure(and I just started the the 2^nd half!) to all of you who don’t know who I am and why I do what I do let me give you some info about me and a little on what I have seen in my short life ,I grew up near Mentor Ave living day by day seeing things I never really understood .

My first paranormal experience came when I was 10 years old when i was 10 my brother was driving me backhome from a friends house and it was dark and as he turned to the righti saw a guy with a white shirt and blue jeans as we passed him i lookedin the side mirror and saw blood all over his shirt and front pants andyelled to my brother (bro you see that? he said see what? and told himwhat i saw so he turned around and we went about a mile down the roadand he was gone ...........two days later..................... i cameup stairs from my room and heard my mom and brother talking (mom i amtelling you he saw that guy that guy that died two days ago) my momtold him to shut up and never speak about it to me.

aweek pasted and i found out one of my friends had a brother a 27 yearold who died near where i saw that man he died after his car flippedover and he died 75 feet from where my brother turned if my brotherwould have gone straight instead of making a right turn we would havefound his body

i was told when i turned 21 by the same friend whose brother died when the police found him he was covered from head totoe with blood and he was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans i toldmy friend what i saw that night he told me i was not the only one whosaw him that night

two other drivers saw that same man walking down the road stopped to help him and he disappeared as they stopped

to this day i still can not get over what i saw.................................................................

1 was that his way of trying to get help?
2 was i just seeing things?

makes me think all the time , for years I thought I had gone mad or was crazy. That all changed in 2001 when a close friend told me he was joining a paranormal group

Near Zanesville Ohio, he let me listen to my first paranormal recording called E.V.P. it stands for Electronic voice phenomena what it means is you can record voices by asking questions and the dead talk back (no I am not crazy) if you have seen any ghost show on TV its what we do...

we talk to the dead,try to understand,and then try to help anyone who needs it

i knew when i took this paranormal job...i would meet some wonderful people

and i hope many more to come.......

ok so now to part two of my blog (lol)

Every home I visit has a story, every person has a history,

and every time I help someone understand someone who has passed on to the other side the more peace I have Knowing a job well done .

I have seen many things some good ,some bad ,but all have one thing all the dead want is for you to understand 3 things

These are the biggest things i have learned from being a ghost hunter....

First.

i tell people who ask me why us ?or why me? Why are they in my home?

Think of it this way… one moment you are full of life, happy, enjoying the moments you have with family and friends, and you wake up cold, and you see people walking around and one sees you, to them you are nothing more than a memory, as the years pass you see your children grow and move away and you stay right where you are ,untouched ,unchained, unknown.

Ask yourself one question?... if you saw a person in your home and you never knew them in life , what would you do?

That’s a question we as paranormal researchers have been asking since the very start of the adventure..................

2^nd they are there till they tell you what they need to leave..............most of the time just them talking gives them peace of mind to move to the other side.....this means they will leave your home and never come back...but there are rare cases where they love the place so much they are unwilling to leave ...............

3^rd ghosts only hurt most people who are not listening ,or don’t think that ghosts are real......................

and then that person ends up getting ,punched, kicked, or in some case gets scars from marks left over i have alot of scars for both the living and the dead...

If you had told me back in 2000 if I would be doing paranormal research I would have looked at you and would have been like (Yeah right) not in a million years would I think I would be writing a paranormal blog, but after thinking about it I come to understand that Mentor has a lot of history and the more times I investigate mentor for paranormal the more I understand that history.

Its our history we must always remember ,it shapes our lives and the futures of our children

By remembering the past we remember not to repeat our mess ups or mistakes

This is the gift we hand to our children ,
